We are a family who has always loved to travel, so far reaching three continents, with aspiration of many countries to come! We have always enjoyed small group tour experiences and soon realized that we wanted to share what we love about our region of Nova Scotia with others. After spending the winter taking Gaelic lessons and journeying to our ancestral homeland of Scotland earlier this spring, the idea of Storr’sTours was hatched.
James Colm Storr is an award winning local baker known for his cakes and waffle creations. The owner of a successful food truck, Waffles On My Mind, he is now looking to share his passion for his home province by providing tours with a locally inspired picnic lunch. He also fancies himself a storyteller, so be ready to hear about some of the stranger tales of Alba Nuadh (Gaelic for Nova Scotia!).
Lori Logue Storr is the creative director of the operation, providing the artwork, menu support and luxury touches needed to take this venture to the next level of sophistication. Drawing from her previous experience in the hospitality industry, Lori is all about the fine details that add comfort and charm to your experience.
James Eric Storr is a seasoned traveler and storyteller, with extensive involvement in tours both locally and internationally. Having spent over 40 years as a teacher, including in Maritime Studies, he enriches the tours with his wealth of local knowledge and passion for education. As the driver, Eric will take you on the roads-less-traveled that he knows like the back of his hand.
Join us as our family (who all look quite dashing in our traditional kilts and pleated skirt) speaks to the history and magic of our home province. Whether you come from away or call this beautiful land your own, the Storr family wants you to be dazzled for the first time or all over again!
